1. Breeder will guarantee owner of dam a live litter from this breeding only when the bitch was bred from when she first will stand for the stud until she refuses to stand for the stud. It was the responsibility of the owner of the dam to get her to the breeder in a timely matter so that the necessary breedings could take place. We recommend getting her here as soon as she starts showing signs of being in heat.

2. Breeder absolutely WILL NOT handle bitches that are aggressive in any way, either towards the stud or the handlers. It is the responsibility of the owner of the dam to make breeder fully aware of the dam's temperament towards people and towards other dogs. Owner of the dam understands that in the event the bitch shows aggression breeder will transport dam and stud to veterinarian of the breeder's choice for artificial insemination and all expenses will be the responsibility of the owner of the dam and will be in addition to the stud fee. If dam bites any of the handlers and medical treatment is required the owner of the dam will be responsible for all medical expenses. If the owner of the dam refuses to give authorization for breeder to take bitch for artificial insemination then owner of the dam agrees to pay breeder $25 per day for time and expenses from the day dam is delivered to breeder until the day she is returned to the owner.

3. Breeder will maintain dam for a period of 2 weeks. If the dam is left with the breeder for any reason for more than 2 weeks, the owner is responsible for providing feed for the dog. Breeder feeds DIAMOND brand feed at a cost of $20.00 per bag. A new bag of feed will be assigned to dam at the end of the 2 weeks and she will be fed from her own bag. Owner of dam will be responsible for the cost of $20.00 per bag for every bag opened even if bag is not completely used. If dam is picked up, owner of dam will be given whatever feed is left in the opened bag. Owner of dam is encouraged to bring food from home so that dam's diet does not have to be changed.

4. The live litter guarantee in no way assures the owner of the dam that all pups produced will survive, nor does it guarantee a specific number of pups will be born. This guarantee is limited to the fact that the bitch will become pregnant and produce a litter of pups. Understand that the dam determines the size of the litter not the stud. We are not responsible for any events that cause the death of pups after they are born.

5. This guarantee does not apply when acts of negligence on the part of the owner of the dam cause the death of her litter or a premature abortion of the litter. In the event a bitch prematurely aborts her litter written documentation will be required from a licensed veterinarian as to their opinion of why the bitch lost the litter. Only in cases of natural causes will the breeding be repeated provided the health of the dam is not in jeopardy by repeating the breeding.

6. This guarantee covers the stud service only. Breeder is not responsible for any expenses, including but not limited to airfare, transportation to and from airport, gas and meal expenses incurred by owner of the dam in bringing bitch to our facility, etc. In the event that a breeding must be repeated all expenses will be the responsibility of the owner of the dam.

7. Stud fee varies for each male. Stud fee is non refundable and in cases where the bitch does not become pregnant the stud service will not be repeated until the bitch has been checked by a licensed veterinarian who believes that she can in fact become pregnant. If it is the opinion of the veterinarian that the bitch can not become pregnant then half of the stud fee will be applied towards the purchase of a pup from the breeding of the owner of the dam's choice or a different bitch can be bred to the same stud. It is the responsibility of the owner of the dam to have the bitch thoroughly checked when she was taken for her brucellosis test to ensure that she is reproductively sound. If transportation is required to and/or from airport owner of dam is responsible for all charges including health certificate, crate and airfare. Breeder also charges $100 in addition to stud fee for time and expense involved in shipping dam to/from owner.

8. We accept Cash, Money Orders, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and debit cards as payment for stud service. A deposit of at least half the stud fee is required when female is delivered. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Remaining balance is due when breeding is complete. No personal checks accepted - NO EXCEPTIONS! WE MAY (DEPENDING ON KENNEL SPACE) ACCEPT PUPPY TRADES FOR STUD SERVICE!

9. Owner of the dam agrees to notify breeder when the litter is born and provide pictures of dam with pups if requested. Owner of dam will then forward litter application to White Plains Kennels for completion. Owner of dam is responsible for notifying breeder if bitch is NKC or UKC registered and understands that this is the only types of registration that are offered by breeder. All studs owned by White Plains Kennels are dual registered with both NKC and UKC. (With the exception of Schneider's Hank who is also registered with PKC).

10. Breeder agrees to always be available for help and advice after the birth of the litter when requested by owner of the dam. If owner of dam has any questions about this agreement they must be addressed before the agreement is signed.

11. A negative brucellosis test is required for all females. We also require a vaginal cytology to check for infection. NO EXCEPTIONS! We are finding that a lot of females have vaginal infections which can prevent pregnancy and cause problems for the stud. Written documentation from a vet stating the tests were done and what the results were is a must! Any infection found must be treated prior to breeding taking place. Test must be performed no more than 4 weeks prior to dam's arrival at out facility. We will no longer accept tests done more than 4 weeks in advance.

12. In the event that the stud is unable to breed the female naturally due to a height difference owner of the dam agrees for the breeder to perform an artificial insemination. If the owner of the dam prefers female and stud can be taken to a vet of breeders choice and have the AI performed there. If this is chosen all expenses will be the responsibility of the owner of the dam.

UPDATE: January 1, 2005. Every upcoming litter will be placed on our website www.wpkennels.com. We will help try to place pups for the owner if they desire. We do however ask the owner to keep a log of every pup they place and offer that list back to White Plains Kennels for our records.
