This picture is of a great friend of ours Melvin Westerman and his dog Blue Creek Wiggy after an early morning December squirrel hunt. Wiggy is a young dog out of Schneider's Hank and White Creek Goose. Wiggy is a great example of what Hank throws in his pups. Wiggy hunts on a dead run and gets treed fast with a loud mouth and holds pressure just like his Daddy does. He likes to hunt alone and don't count on Wiggy backing another dog very often if at all. Independence is handed down in this line of dogs from their Grandaddy Hardwood Lake Jake. Wiggy treed his first squirrel on his own at six months old and has not looked back since. Melvin has turned down big money for this dog and if ever sold would surly make his mark in any competition entered!
Update on Wiggy:
Kenneth Martindale in North Carolina now owns Wiggy. Kenneth sure knows what a good dog is and has owned plenty of them. Since he has owned Wiggy he has also proven that he is as good at night on the coon as he is during the day on squirrel. Kenneth says that Wiggy is an mighty fine dog and he plans to campaign him in the 2007-2008 hunts.
Keep an eye out for Wiggy, he is one nice outfit!

This picture is of Justin Jump and Clinch River Harley at six months old. Harley is out of Schneider's Hank and Blue Creek Bee. Harley started treeing her own game very early the most impressive thing about her is that she was never shown any caged game or worked with any hides. She treed her first squirrel instinctively like she was born to do. She treed the two squirrels in the picture all by herself on a very windy day. Since then she has proven herself to be a very capable young dog. Justin has been coon hunting her quite a bit and the reports are that he is really liking what he has been seeing out of this young dog.

Above is a picture of two more Schneider's Hank and Blue Creek Bee Bee pups also owned by Melvin Westerman of Sunman Indiana. The dog up on the tree he calls Stan and the female at the base of the tree he calls Bee. Stan is an accurate stay put, up on the wood type treedog that is putting things together real nicely. Stan is a loud hard hunting dog that loves to tree game. Melvin says he is making a real nice dog. The female at the base of the tree named Bee is also making a real nice dog. Melvin kept Bee running loose on his property and came home to her treeing in the yard at 7 months old. Bee is a good treedog that you can usually find sitting or standing at the base of the tree treeing rather than up on the wood. She is a medium to deep hunter that has been handling nicely and treeing on a very regular basis. Melvin is confident both dogs will make top dog in the 2006 season.
Update on Stan:

|
Stan has been purchased from Melvin Westerman and is now here at White Plains Kennels in the kennels next to his daddy Schneider's Hank. Stan is a get gone gone out front type dog like his daddy. When Stan comes onto a tree he explodes with a booming mouth and is hard accurate tree dog. Stan shows the same independence as the rest of Hank's pups and loves to split and hold pressure. Stan is an asset to the kennel and you should see plenty of Stan throughout the 2007-2008 competition season.

This is a picture of a young dog called "Moxie" owned by Jeff Shelly of Pennsylvania. Moxie is out of Schneider's Hank and Cox's Bell. Moxie showed quite a bit of promise at a very young age. Jeff says she is a very gamey dog with allot of hunt and desire. Moxie is Jeff's only Cur dog and she gets allot of woods time. She is still quite young but has been doing a good job so far treeing some game. Moxie hunts wide and hard but has no problem checking in or handling. Jeff tells us that Moxie is relaxing through the summer months and he plans to get back out there in the 2006 season and finish what this dog showed him at an early age. We will give you a full update once he does!
Update on Moxie:
Moxie is doing just fine, Jeff says that he has not hunted her near as much do to the fact that he acquired another Hank pup that took up some of his time. But Moxie has matured into a fine dog none the less, she still has the go, she still has the squirrels.

This is a picture of Schneider's Hank (Top Center) and two of his pups (Harley bottom left) and Stan (bottom right). This picture was taken at the end of the 2006 season while hunting in Illinois. Hank can't take the credit for all the squirrels the pup's were the dogs hunted most that day, making many trees and not one tree was shared with one another. This speaks volumes for the amount of independence these Hank pups are showing.

This is a picture of yet another young Schneider's Hank pup owned by Jeff Shelly of Pennsylvania. "Remy" is a result of the Schneider's Hank Blue Creek Goldie Cross which according to all that have one of these pups, we are proud to announce another 100% success rate litter.
,br> Jeff has been well pleased with his little female "Remy" stating that she had treed her first squirrel at 20 weeks old and has not looked back since. Remy will throw dirt in you face when cut loose and will get treed in a hurry. Jeff has big plans for Remy and is making him a TOP NOTCH DOG! As always check back from time to time and we will keep you posted on Remy's progress!!

The picture of this little five month old female treeing is a pup owned by Steve Reinholt of North Vernon Indiana. "Jinx" as Steve calls her, is a pup produced by Schneider's Hank and Quintin's Lucky Lucy. Steve stated that Jinx started tracking up a squirrel drag and treeing it in the yard at 10 weeks old. Steve says this was followed by walks to the woods where Jinx would slip off and get treed at a VERY YOUNG age. Steve has documented Jinx's progress and is very excited about Jinx's first upcoming squirrel season. And according to the rest of Jinx's litter owners all these pups have treed a yard squirrel, cat, or some sort of game already. It is a very exciting thing when pups start early, but this early!?! Time will tell and we will keep you posted!
